FreeTown Hounds

On the way back from Nola, my friend and I followed the Blood Royale (see post here: Blood Royale) to Lafayette, LA. At their show at the Wild Salmon, I had the pleasure of seeing a band called FreeTown Hounds. They refer to their music as "fun rock" which I think is quite appropriate. Their upbeat, kind of swingy, kind of trashy music totally rocked and the audience was totally into the show. They were just plain good ol' rock and roll fun and they clearly enjoyed ever minute of their set. The band really engaged the audience and made them a part of the set. Guitarist Ricky Williams donned a wig at the end of the show and put his guitar down to do only vocals. It was hilarious and very appropriate for their show. Overall, it was a great, fun, upbeat show that everyone seemed to enjoy.

Ricky Williams (vocals, guitar), Shannon May (guitar), Roy Harrison (bass), Wess Bennet (drums)
